Great work, amazing crew! If you are looking for a company that shows up on time, is respectful of our property, and do superior work, hire these guys! We hired Pimentel Paving to pave a large circular driveway. They were very professional, detail-oriented, we careful not to damage any plants or surrounding landscape, kept me informed and a pleasure to work with. They did an amazing job in one day - and even patched a couple of potholes on our private road! They went above and beyond - Thank you!

This review is long overdue. Last August (2024) we decided to have our driveway repaved and after much research had Joe Pimentel come out to the house and give us an estimate. He responded promptly and listened to what I desired. He also gave very sound advice. I had three other bids, but ended up choosing Joe, not just because his price was reasonable, but because they have been in business for 30+ years. I knew that he has probably encountered every conceivable problem and most likely had the ability and knowledge to correct it, just in case anything went wrong. And my intuition was right! On paving day, Joe and his crew were here early and quickly got to work. I’ve worked in construction, and it’s not often that the boss…….THE MAN HIMSELF…….., jumps onto every piece of equipment and truly takes charge of the job. Everything was going well, until a transfer truck loaded with hot asphalt broke down in mid-afternoon right in the middle of the driveway and front and center of our house. It remained there, dead in the water for over three hours. Everything came to a screeching halt. Meanwhile, Joe and the crew stayed as busy as they could, but I could sense the uneasiness as time passed. I assume Joe was somewhat distracted by this emergency, as he was going to have to deal with a cold joint and how to properly blend in the rest of the job. The truck was finally moved and they finished the job, well past quitting time and into the dusk of the night. We didn't have time to properly review the job in the daylight. In the morning, I went out and looked at the driveway. I was shocked. I saw not only a large cold joint, but numerous roller marks and other imperfections that were very visible. I called Carol (Joes wife) and told her my concerns. She said that she would have Joe come out in the next several days to look at it. Later that week, Joe did stop by (right on time) and sized up the job. He’s a man of few words. I asked him one question: “Joe, if this were your house, would you think that this was a good job?” His answer assured me that I had picked the right man for the job. He said, “I think we could have done better.” He said that the job was his responsibility, and told me that he’d take care of it. He asked to come back and fix the job in a week or so. Well, Joe and his crew of six men, DID COME BACK, and not only heated and repaired the marks, but he was extremely generous with placing shoulder backing material along the sides of the driveway due to a misunderstanding of what I wanted. They spent 1/2 of a day making the driveway look much better (ON HIS DIME)! But that wasn’t all. Evidently, Carol was able to get the trucking company to pay for a seal coat job on my entire driveway due to the cold joint it left because of their breakdown. Pimentel came out several months later and sealed it. They were unbelievably neat and careful and did a great job. Here’s the bottom line. Not only is this company good at what they do by having ALL of the equipment and know-how, but if something DOES go wrong, they have the integrity and honor to fix it. Joe and Carolyn are great people who have a great crew. Even though I didn’t get a “perfect” paving job right off the bat, they more than made up for it, and the result is a beautiful driveway and a great story of how honesty and integrity are alive and well at Pimentel paving. Joe and his Crew did a terrific Job of Asphalt overlaying our private road. It is very impressive how Joe and his team pay attention to every big or little detail of their work. My road looks terrific now and I can't thank Joe and his Crew enough for it. To have the work done by Pimentel was one of my best decisions. In addition, Pricing for the superb work is outstanding.

What a relief to find them. There are a handful of companies available and I had reached out to many of them... Pimentel was by far the most responsive and professional. They did great work and also were accommodating to a few changes once the work began. Pleasure to work with.

Joe and team did a great job of installing a new, long driveway on our one acre property! The "Gold Chip Seal" that they can do is great for that nice "gravel driveway" look - see picture. (The gold pebble chip seal is even so pretty, that afterwards, I even set up a portable Volleyball net for the kids to play right there - see second picture too.) Everything was great, from the very easy to read estimate & contract sheet they use, to the final day of installation. Great family run company. They worked really hard and got the job done on time. Wish all construction companies I hire could be this effective! Would definitely hire them again. Great job guys!

I would give these guys 10 stars if it was an option. They were incredible to deal with. From the first phone call to the finished product they were amazing. They were very reasonably priced and the work and attention to detail was beyond my expectations. Rarely am I impressed by contractors I usually feel they over promise and under deliver. Not these guys they showed up on time worked their butts off and the end result is better than I ever expected. I would not hesitate to use them again and will refer them to others every chance I get

We have had a lot of different contractors working on our home over the last several years and Pimentel was one of the few that far exceeded our expectations. We have a long and steep driveway that had not been paved for 20+ years. Joe bid the job quickly and walked through the details and followed up with a detailed quote. We did get other bids but there was never a question that we would pick Pimentel if the price was competitive.

Joe and his team spent three long and hard days working on the project. We were able to watch the efficiency of the team work together to create a masterpiece. Repair performed first followed by asphalt overlay. The edges are crisp and straight, the top even and smooth.

The team went the extra mile and graded out a parking area and a side access road. They evened out the sides and made sure the ditches were deep enough. They did the job as if it was the bosses house. I recommended my contractor friend to use them and he is currently scheduled to do his home.

We will not call another company the next time and will only use Pimentel (We suspect that the quality work will not need them for many more years). The only bad thing is that they did such a great job that we don't want to drive on it and get it dirty.

I hired Pimental for a second job (chip seal done in a stunning sonoma gold color rock) a few months after their first project for me (driveway paving and pickleball court install). I trusted him to do the new job based on his earlier great work. They didn't disappoint. Rock solid. I wish I had more contractors like them.

Excellent job overall. I found their contact information from a friend of a friend so it was a random encounter. The owner bid the project of paving my driveway which is a lengthy one, at what I felt was a reasonable price. He came out twice and I felt confident in his ability enough so that I didn't bother getting other bids. Normally I do. He and his crew came here and did a very fine job, at least from what I can tell so far. There were a couple of areas that needed special attention and they handled it all professionally and courteously. I also had him pave a pickleball court for me as a last minute thing and he did a stellar job on that as well. This guy has a ton of experience and seems to be a Craftsman. Very happy with the work.

If you are considering asphalt replacement or paving, I would highly recommend Pimentel Paving.

After reaching out to several well-known larger companies with limited or zero response, I found Pimentel through Yelp. I was happily surprised when the owner, Joe, responded right away. He set up an initial consultation/estimate and he showed up as promised. That's a rarity these days. That excellent level of communication continued through the entire process. From the initial consultation to replace the existing asphalt to recommendations/advice/options for edging, curbing and sealing, Pimentel's was a pleasure to work with.

I eventually did receive a couple of additional quotes from others (one without actually coming out to look!) but they were not as detailed and Joe still beat those prices.

This was a fairly large residential driveway project with a turnaround area and something we had never done before. Joe was VERY patient to answer all my questions, give me options and explain the process to me in an easy to understand way.

Joe, along with is team worked extremely hard and we felt they treated the project as if it was their own residence. They arrived on time, finished without delay and left the work area perfectly cleaned up.

It was a late season install just prior to winter rains. Joe re-graded some of the area and we now have excellent drainage. We are planning to have them return to seal soon.

To sum it up, we would use Pimentel Paving again in a heartbeat. They are honest, fair in price and go above and beyond on the installation. We really appreciated the planning, coordination and work ethic of this team.

When we were finally ready to pave Pimentel came in and did a great job. They are honest, reasonably priced, knowledgable, and professional. I strongly recommend them and would use them again. BTW: when looking for a contractor spend some time on the contractors license website. Pimentel has had the same license for decades with no complaints. Other contractors would promise anything, but when we looked at other contractor's licenses we found many aliases and many complaints. Save yourself the headaches and stick with Pimentel.

Pimentel Paving worked at our property on a super warm day. What a crew of hard-working, knowledgeable and safe guys! I couldn't believe the amazing equipment they used and used it well. Joe had originally come over to give us a bid and I could tell he really knew what he was doing. Everything he said would be done was. His estimate arrived promptly and was extremely professional and concisely explained.

I spoke with Carolyn Pimentel a few times on the phone and she's great. Joe himself operates the equipment. You can tell when the owner is onboard and is the one passing out bottled waters frequently that he cares about his people. My husband and I feel that we received great value for what we paid and we definitely recommend Pimentel Paving.

Joe paved our 1/4 mile driveway with three owners participating. He also performed additional work for all three of us. He was not the most expensive and not the least expensive, but provided considerably more work than others had in their bids. All work exceeded our expectations and was performed on time.

Dealing with Joe and Carolyn was a positive experience. The work was performed just before the earthquake, and Carolyn called to check on the driveway, as well as our home. A business does not get better than this company!!

I'd like to commend Joe and his crew for a great job that was done on my driveway. It was hard clay with serious washboard and he transformed it into a marvelous work of art. He created a masterpiece, complete with an eye for drainage, as it is a curved, downhill driveway which had serious runoff issues in the past.

Carolyn was courteous and prompt with the estimate costs, including an amendment, which I added at a later date prior to the transformation. Thank you Pimentel Paving for completing a job well done.

I learned a great deal that will help me avoid unethical companies in the future. I had gotten quotes from three other paving contractors, but none of them were as knowledgeable or professional as the Pimentels. For example, the contracts the others offered neglected to include important details like the depth of the asphalt to be laid or the type of rock to be compacted.

In addition, the Pimentels were the only ones who guaranteed their work. They offered to do a more thorough job and lay a deeper layer of asphalt than any of the other bids for a price that was less than two out of three other bids! They arrived on time, the owner, Joe, was on site through the whole project, the workers were courteous and the job was finished within the time frame promised.

They did a beautiful job for a very reasonable price and they guarantee their work, which none of the other paving contractors offered. I wish all contractors I deal with would be of the quality and integrity of the Pimentels; I would feel a lot less stressed about home improvement projects! Very highly recommended!

As it turns out, the project I was doing was not going to be able to use the services of this company. But I did get a response to my inquiry within an hour. Not only that, but was given a lot of suggestions and alternatives.

Pimentel Paving paved my driveway about 4 years ago and did a great job. Each year I contact them to slurry coat my driveway to keep it looking awesome. The people at Pimentel Paving are really friendly and responsive and they do terrific work. I get compliments from everyone on how nice my driveway always looks. I would recommend them for any size paving job and their prices are very competitive. I understand now why they are Diamond Certified and they stand behind their work. Kudos to Pimentel Paving!!

Ours was a difficult job, a private street with 25 homeowners. After getting bids from several contractors, the Pimentel bid stood out as the best bang for the buck. We also liked the fact that it is a family owned business with great reviews. It took 2 years to get all homeowners on board and Carolyn held our hand the entire time. Both trucking and asphalt prices had gone up, but the Pimentels held their 2 year old price. On paving day, Joe arrived with excellent equipment and the crew worked together like a well oiled clock. Watching them put on finishing touches was like watching artists at work.

Pimentel Paving paved our steep and challenging driveway over the past two days. They were efficient, amazingly hard-working, and they completed all the work that we had agreed upon, plus some extra.

The price they quoted us was significantly less than we anticipated, so we were able to complete about twice the amount of paving for our budget. Carolyn in the office was responsive and a pleasure to work with. I am happy to recommend Pimentel Paving without reservation.
